Empowering Young Minds Through Conversation, Guidance & Community
On 8 May 2026, UnsilencedMen (NPO) proudly participated in the Sow A Seed Youth Empowerment Career Day Expo hosted at Central Secondary School. The initiative brought together various organisations and stakeholders with a shared goal of empowering learners through education, career guidance, and personal development.
During the event, UnsilencedMen had the opportunity to engage with learners from Grades 9, 11, and 12, introducing the organisation and unpacking the importance of mental wellness, self-development, purpose, and community support among young men and youth.
Our team shared insight into what UnsilencedMen stands for and how we work within communities to create safe spaces where individuals are encouraged to grow, heal, and become better versions of themselves. The engagement created meaningful conversations as learners actively participated, asked thoughtful questions, and showed genuine interest in the work being done around men’s mental health and youth empowerment.
To make the experience interactive and memorable, learners also participated in giveaway Q&A sessions where UnsilencedMen distributed:
Flyers
Caps
Wristbands
The positive energy and enthusiasm from the students reminded us of the importance of reaching young people early and creating environments where they feel seen, heard, and empowered.
We would also like to acknowledge the other stakeholders and institutions who participated in making the day impactful:
Rosebank College
Richfield
Shanduka Foundation
Tshwane University of Technology
University of Pretoria
UnsilencedMen remains committed to empowering young people through dialogue, mentorship, and awareness initiatives that inspire confidence, resilience, and purpose.
Speak. Heal. Rise.
