Pretoria, 26 August 2025 – Unsilencedmen proudly participated in the Presidency
Annual Combined Men and Women’s Dialogue Session, held at the CT Hotel (formerly Sheraton Hotel) under the theme “Be Spectacular Traditional, Celebrating The Presidency that Works for All.”
The dialogue, directed by Ms. Karabo Madiseng and Mr. Dibageng Kgwedi, brought together leaders, changemakers, and advocates to address key social issues affecting men and women across South Africa.
Representing Unsilenced Men
Two distinguished voices represented Unsilenced Men at this national platform:
Dr. Mabokela Gomolemo (MBChB, Diploma in Mental Health) shared critical insights into men’s mental health, the psychosocial effects of abuse, and the importance of breaking silence to foster healing.
Nkgadima Clive Ditlabuke, a community leader, director, youth advocate, creative writer, and founder of Helping All Nations Develop Strong (HANDS), delivered a powerful address on empowering young men, reshaping narratives around masculinity, and building safer communities.
Advancing the Conversation
The session created a space to challenge harmful stigmas, promote inclusive dialogue, and encourage stronger partnerships across civil society, government, and community organizations. For Unsilenced Men, participation in this event was a significant step in advancing our mission to tackle stigmas facing men, support victims of abuse, and redefine masculinity in positive ways.
A Shared Commitment
As an organization, we believe that healing society begins with healing men. The opportunity to share our perspectives at a national dialogue reaffirms our commitment to creating safe spaces, breaking cycles of silence, and fostering collaboration to build a society where abuse is unacceptable – regardless of gender.
