Creating Safe Spaces. Building Confidence. Shaping Better Futures.

On 13 August 2026, UnsilencedMen continued its ongoing partnership with SANCA Soshanguve through the Talk to a Boy Child Initiative, visiting Padisago Primary School for another meaningful school engagement.

The initiative is focused on creating safe and supportive spaces where young boys can openly engage, learn important life lessons, and understand that their voices, experiences, and wellbeing matter.

Learning Through Engagement

The learners participated in a range of interactive activities designed to encourage critical thinking, teamwork, and open communication. Through case studies, discussions, and practical activities, the boys were encouraged to reflect on situations they may encounter at school and in their everyday lives.

A key topic addressed during the engagement was bullying.

The discussion encouraged learners to understand the impact bullying can have on individuals, the importance of treating others with respect, and what they can do when they experience or witness bullying.

Rather than simply telling learners what to do, the session created an opportunity for them to participate, ask questions, share their perspectives, and learn from different scenarios.

Encouragement Beyond the Classroom

The engagement also included words of encouragement aimed at reminding the boys of their potential and the importance of making positive choices.

At UnsilencedMen, we believe that empowering the boy child is not only about addressing challenges—it is also about reminding young boys that they are seen, heard, supported, and capable of becoming the best versions of themselves.

A Little Something to Take Home

To make the engagement even more memorable, learners received branded gifts from UnsilencedMen, while SANCA Soshanguve provided snack packs for the learners.

These gestures formed part of creating a positive and welcoming environment where learners could associate learning, self-development, and community support with positive experiences.

Continuing the Conversation

The visit to Padisago Primary School is another step in the continued journey of the Talk to a Boy Child Initiative.

Through our partnership with SANCA Soshanguve, we remain committed to reaching young boys in schools, opening conversations around the issues they face, and equipping them with knowledge and confidence to navigate their journey.

Every conversation matters. Every boy matters.

You are seen. You are heard. You matter.

Speak. Heal. Rise.
