UnsilencedMen Partners with ArxTech for the Men's Mental Health Awareness Run & Dialogue
Running Together for Awareness. Standing Together for Men.

On 26 June 2026, UnsilencedMen (NPO) was honoured to partner with ArxTech for the Men's Mental Health Awareness Run & Dialogue, a meaningful initiative held in recognition of Men's Mental Health Awareness Month.
The event brought together professionals, community members, and mental health advocates for a day dedicated to promoting awareness, encouraging open conversations, and reminding men that they do not have to face life's challenges alone.
Starting with Conversation
The day began with an insightful dialogue centred on men's mental wellbeing, creating a safe and engaging space where attendees could openly discuss the realities many men experience.
The discussion explored several important topics, including:
Common emotional and psychological triggers men face throughout different stages of life.
Recognising the early warning signs of mental health challenges.
Building healthier coping mechanisms.
The importance of seeking support before reaching a crisis.
Breaking the stigma that discourages men from speaking about their struggles.
The session reinforced an important message: mental health deserves the same attention as physical health.
Expert Voices Driving the Conversation
Attendees were privileged to hear from respected speakers who brought both professional expertise and personal insight to the discussion.
Dumisani Nyundu
Mr Nyundu shared a powerful message drawn from his personal journey, encouraging men to embrace accountability, resilience, and hope. His story reminded attendees that setbacks do not define a person's future and that every man has the ability to rebuild and grow.
Leon De Beer
Representing South African Federation for Mental Health, Mr De Beer provided valuable insights into men's mental health, highlighting the importance of early intervention, emotional wellbeing, and creating supportive environments where men feel safe to seek help.
Together, the speakers inspired meaningful reflection and encouraged participants to continue conversations about mental health beyond the event itself.
Turning Awareness into Action
Following the dialogue, participants took part in a 5km Awareness Run, symbolising unity, resilience, and collective action in support of men's mental health.
More than just a physical activity, the walk/run served as a reminder that every step taken helps move society closer to breaking the stigma surrounding men's mental wellbeing.
The event demonstrated that wellness involves caring for both the body and the mind while fostering a sense of community and belonging.
A Shared Commitment
UnsilencedMen extends its heartfelt appreciation to ArxTech for hosting such a purposeful initiative and for choosing to support men's mental health through awareness, education, and community engagement.
We also thank every participant, speaker, organiser, volunteer, and supporter who contributed to making the day a success. Your willingness to stand alongside men and advocate for healthier conversations is helping build stronger families, workplaces, and communities.
Continuing the Conversation
At UnsilencedMen, we believe that changing the narrative around men's mental health requires more than awareness—it requires action, collaboration, and consistent support.
Events like the Men's Mental Health Awareness Run & Dialogue demonstrate what is possible when organisations come together with a shared purpose: creating spaces where men are encouraged to speak openly, seek help without fear of judgment, and support one another.
The journey does not end at the finish line.
It continues with every conversation started, every stigma challenged, and every life impacted.
